ABOUT OUR JEWELRY

Even when I was young, I had a love of "pretty rocks" as they were often called. To this day, I still have a bowl on my desk with stones I have collected over time. I started to learn their names and then what stories and myths were written about them. Over the last couple years, I started getting stone beads and it took a while, but started to make simple jewelry items, out of them. As time went on, I got better and now do more elaborate works. There is still much I can learn to do and will put up new items as I try out designs and ideas.

All items are custom made. The majority I made up as I went along, then made them into a pattern. Most of the items are made with natural stones. There are some items with acrylics, glass and fiber optic beads but, since my love is for actual stones you will find that is what most items feature. Jewelry items are strung on nonofilament line, stretch cording and beading wire. Most are on beading wires. Since items are custom made, there are options for most listed in the description. Color/type of stones can be exchanged for others. Choices of gold or silver metalware and such are available on most items too. You can even contact me, with a special order and have a custom item of your own choosing.

CARE OF ITEMS Your items will last you for a very long time, if cared for properly. Metalware used on items are a high end plated metal. That means, they can turn over time. The Best way to keep them looking new longer is to not subject them to open air, when not in use. One of the biggest reasons that plated and over lay metal turn fast is over exposure to oxygen. This will give them an antiqued finish or even tarnished look. Yes, oxygen is hard to avoid but, if the items are put away after wear that will be a huge help. Place them in a jewelry box or even in a small zip lock bag. This will make a big difference over time in the appearance of the items. ** All Jewelry items will come with a small black/charcoal colored square. It may look like nothing but Keep it.  These papery items will Prolong the metalware items. One small square can pretect a small jewelry box of plated and costume items. These squares absorb substances harmfull to the longevity of plated metal. Will also keep sterling silver items from tarnishing as fast. ***PLEASE NOTE since they metalware IS plated when ordering. If you are Allergic to plated metals please contact me prior to ordering.  There can be items made up without using metalware at all or other alternatives can be figured out.***
