On exchanging here are some guidelines.
Please make sure the dress is clean. Stains/spots are not easy to remove and since they will be for resale we want to be able to offer clean garments to others. **Store samples that are only tried on by potential customers does not apply for a garment that needs to be cleaned prior to sending.
Please make sure the dress is up to date or vintage/retro and it needs to be tasteful. Since many purchases will be for school dances and formals, we want to offer dresses they would want to wear but tasteful to also make parents happy about the purchases, as well. That does not mean that grown up styles will not be accepted.
Please take clear photos of the dress and email them prior to sending in a dress for an exchange. In the email please list any flaws. Major flaws will not be accepted but minor ones, depending on what they are and where on the dress, can be acceptable. Photos will give me a chance to see any flaws and to see the dress itself before giving the ok to send it on for an exchange.
Dresses must fall into a formal/semiformal/dressy casual grouping. The dresses on the site are for special evenings and dresses sent for exchanges should reflect this.
The shipping for dresses sent in are the Senders responsibility. To counter some of the pain of shipping the dress for exchange and then paying for shipping of your new purchases, I will send the customer a free pair of earrings or bracelet depending on how much the shipping fees came to. This should take some of the sting out of the double shipping fees. Free items will be sent with the new purchase.
Exchanges are for credit towards a new purchase ONLY. There is no consignment options or outright buy outs on gently used dresses. The customer will get 25% off the purchase of a new/gently used dress, jewelry items or shoes for their exchange. Mutilple dresses are accepted but will mean 25% off purchase of 1 purchase for Each dress turned in, not more and more off of one purchase.
Dressy/formal shoes are also being accepted now. Same rules will apply as above for dresses. Since we have a very limited amount of shoes for exchange we will give the person turning in shoes 25% off purchase of another pair of shoes or jewelry item.
